Make Some Butter and Break Some Ice

I mentioned my friend Liza, who likes to make everything from scratch, including her own butter. So when I saw this idea of having your guests help make the butter, I thought it was a great way to get them involved with her cause.

Just put some cream, salt and marbles in a jar and pass it around. Everyone can participate in shaking the jar, passing the burden around and getting to know each other. Then everyone gets to enjoy the freshly made butter (hopefully with some freshly made bread!).

I love it!

 To kick off each school year I throw a “Back To School Party “.  Most my kids are now grown but the party lives on as my grandkids are starting to attend school.  These tags  are fun and colorful and can be attached to a paper sack, gift, candy or any fun special treat. 

 For the “Back To School” themed dinner make sack lunches for everyone.  I like to make home made bread and cookies.  I also like to slip in a special note to each person and a special treat.    For the entire theme download the “Back To School” Candy Bar Wrappers , candy boxes and or “Back To School” party bottles.  Your  kids  and grandkids won’t stop talking about this "Back To School" Party!

Beautiful Spring Wedding Part 1

My friend, Jen, and I used to work together when I lived in Orlando. We put on events together, so I completely trusted her when it came to my wedding. I asked a lot of her throughout my wedding festivities and she made my day wonderful.  So when she asked me to help out on her wedding day this past March, I was ready to re-pay the favor!

It was a great wedding-- so much fun and un-pretentious, just like the couple! It was a great reflection of Jen, and her (now) husband, Brian. She looked amazing and statuesque in her dress and Brian was so sweet that he planned and performed a song with his friends during the reception. And you know what?  Helping out just increased the amount of fun that I had that day! (does that make me weird?)

Her photographer, Cory Callahan, got such wonderful pictures-- I wanted to share them all! So you get the pleasure of seeing lots of them over 2 days. I hope you enjoy as much as I did!
