As you read this, I will be in South America, hopefully on a beach. So C's party hasn't moved forward much this week...so instead, I bring you a brunch I hosted recently.
My dear friend, Kim, was going to celebrate a birthday while I was on vacation, so I put together a little brunch (her favorite meal-- and mine) for just the 4 of us. So I sent her a cute little invite online to make it official from gonnaeat.com. The service was pretty limited, but good for something intimate like this.
She loves the store Anthropology--so I went for a rustic modern theme, mixing my grandmother Wedgewood with modern silverware and patterns. Over the summer, Kim and I went to an art fair together. Etsy was giving away tiny bunting kits-- so I put it together and used it as decoration-- and it informed the color pattern.
Since the colors were similar to the graduation party I threw for my husband, I added some additional details to the banner using washi tape I had on hand (I love that stuff!).
I think I mentioned that I love menus, and this was no exception! Again with the tape!
The first course and china...
Each setting with their own syrup and pumpkin. This tape is amazing!
Here's the entire table. I used crepe paper to make a yellow and blue runner.
What do you think? Did I accomplish the look I was after?
Happy Birthday Kim!
Until Next Week! xoxo EventLucky
