This event was put together last summer for a special newborn baby. Rather than the traditional baby shower, the mother requested a get together after the baby was born--a Welcoming Party! It was so fun for everyone to come meet the baby and congratulate mama.
The party colors were blue and red with the 'oh boy!' logo carried throughout. It began with the invitations:Greeted guests at the front door:
Showed up on the food, we had delicious salad, blue and red packaged
cheeses with artisan breads, blue and red berry cups topped with
whipped cream and blue and red coconut cupcakes.
Finally, a banner to finish off the over all look of the shower.
Consider throwing a Welcoming Party as an alternative to your next baby shower! Have a fantastic week and we will see you next week!

what a great idea to have a welcoming party for a newborn! A simple bouquet of red gerbera daisies tied with a blue ribbon could be fun for this party.
