This is a terrific idea! I agree it would work great for pretty much any type of event, including weddings. For a more sophisticated grown-up look the dowels can be hidden in flower arrangements.

I saw the nine photography logo on your pic...is that the dallas based photography company?! Did they come to midland to shoot your party? How cool if so! I recently did a blog post about an engagement photo session they shot in the Dallas Design District!

Hi Kendall,
It sure is Nine Photography from Dallas. Kelli and Brendan have been doing our photos for almost 3 years. We have them do pics of us and our daughter every 6 months. They ROCK!! We actually had her party in Dallas. That's where we are originally from, so luckily for them they didn't have to drive all the way out here!:-)
