Autumn Decor Question...
Alex asks...
"My company is in a trade show this mid-September and we are having an 'Autumn in Central Park' theme for our booth display about 20' x 10' and I have been asked to see if we can rent a couple of 'autumn/fall' trees, some potted mums/florals for this show (about 4 days) in San Antonio, Texas. I haven't the faintest clue on where and how to begin to do this. Any advice, direction, and assistance will be helpful and much appreciated."

Hi Alex!
Grocery stores and farmers markets are already selling mums. You can find good deals at your local garden centers (job lot, target, etc) on terracotta pots and other planting vessels. Michaels crafts sells faux fall inspired trees and there is always a 40% off coupon in your sunday paper (although you may be able to print one from a coupon website). You can also approach a local garden center and ask if they would loan or rent to you some live potted trees for your display. When I think of Autumn in New York I think of brilliantly colored leaves (the color you can use on your marketing material, draped fabric behind your display or on your display tables) hot apple cider with Cinnamon, and chunkie wool sweaters and scarves.
Hope that helps!

Alex, it is likely that your convention producer has a vendor for interior landscaping. If they do not, call the convention site directly to determine who they have worked with before. Plant Interscapes, 888.284.2257 provides such service. Aztec Events may also be able to help, 210.822.2130.

Hi Alex,
I live in Orlando, but I arranged a grand opening event in San Antonio in April and needed some urns and greenery to dress our red carpet and after party. I to didn't know where to find what I needed, lucky, someone recommended a company called Capers. They were great!
Ask for John Bloodsworth and tell him Marcie from Ripley's sent you! His email is John@capersdmc.com.
